Description of the robot:
Tesla Optimus is Tesla's next-generation humanoid robot, designed for versatile applications and scalable production. It features an anatomically correct design, lightweight composite materials, and an optimal weight for stability and energy efficiency. It stands approximately 175 cm (5,7 ft) tall. It is equipped with Tesla's proprietary FSD-based computing architecture, enabling machine learning and real-time data processing. It has over 40 degrees of freedom, including high-precision arms with individually controlled fingers.
Capable of carrying up to 20–25 kg (44-55 lbs) and withstanding significant static loads.
Tesla Optimus is powered by the Tesla AI5 AI chip, using the same neural networks and computer vision system as the Autopilot (FSD) in Tesla vehicles.
Tesla Optimus sensors include stereo cameras, lidars, microphone arrays, and tactile sensors. It moves on two legs with a dynamic stabilization system, adapting to various surfaces. It runs for up to 8 hours on a replaceable battery.
Tesla Optimus supports Wi-Fi 6E, 5G, and Tesla's secure protocols. It features a display for information. Its software is based on self-learning neural networks with support for cloud learning via the Tesla AI Cloud. The kit includes a robot, charging station, tools, a manual, and access to the Tesla Robotics platform.
